2014 EURO CITRO
If you are in Europe next month, make a stop for the 2014 Euro Citro at the Le Mans racetrack in France.
The Euro Citro is a car show where all Citroën models built since the company’s earliest days can be seen. This event has traditionally taken place at the circuit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. First staged in August 2000, it was held regularly every three years until 2009, when 2,800 Citroën cars and 14,000 visitors turned out. The next Euro Citro is scheduled for 8, 9 and 10 August of this year, once again at the Le Mans racetrack. It is also one of the world biggest meeting for Citroën enthusiasts.
Participating vehicles will be grouped by model in designated areas when they arrive at the site.
Many activities are planned for the participants:
= A big area of trading booths where more than 150 exhibitors will swap replacement parts, documentation, miniatures and lots more from the world of Citroën.
= A temporary museum where exceptional Citroën models will be on display (themes planned: a world of well-being at Citroën, the cars that Sébastien Loeb drove to win the World Rally Championship nine times). Also, a spectacular presentation of old Citroën commercial vehicles.
= A parade around the Bugatti Circuit at very slow speeds will be held for each model. o A concours d'élégance, with the Brand’s great specialist, Olivier de Serres, as master of
ceremonies, will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m.
= An auction of Citroën cars and objects presided over by J.-P. Ruellan will take place on Saturday at 2 p.m.
= A gala dinner will be held for participants on Saturday evening, with a fireworks display at the end.
Bands will provide music for dancing on Friday and Saturday evenings.
= A campsite will be available free of charge for participants from Thursday, 7 August, at noon, until Monday morning, 11 August.
= Authors of books about Citroën and comic books will be on hand to dedicate their works throughout the event.
Three iconic models in Citroën’s history will celebrate an important anniversary at the Euro Citro 2014:

The organisers are expecting a record turnout of more than 3,000 cars.
